Chemokines
Chemokines are a family of small, inducible secreted cytokine proteins that are known for their conserved structural homology as well as their ability to mediate chemotaxis of various cells. They are essential for development and regulation of the immune system during both homeostasis and infection. Chemokines are usually divided into four subgroups based on the placement of conserved cysteine residues that are essential for tertiary structure. CC, CXC, CX3C, and XC chemokines refer to the number of amino acids separating the first two cysteine residues. GoldBio offers close to 100 different recombinant chemokines, which includes a variety of homeostatic and inflammatory chemokines from each subgroup.
