N-gamma-Hydroxy-L-arginine is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of nitric oxide from L-arginine. Arginase is inhibited by N-gamma-Hydroxy-L-arginine, as is the cell proliferation of MDA-MB-468 cancer cells.

In addition, EDTA would inhibit the purification of proteins using immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC), for example His tagged or CBP tagged proteins. ProBlock™ Gold Bacterial 2Dcocktail is compatible with immobilized metal affinity chromatography.
