C58C1 strains provide a dependable, high-efficiency platform for plant genetic transformation. Derived from the C58 lineage and cured of the native Ti plasmid (pTiC58), C58C1 offers a stable genetic background, reliable antibiotic markers, and excellent compatibility with a wide range of plant species.
These strains are widely used for gDNA/cDNA library construction, binary vector delivery, and Agrobacterium-mediated transformation in model plants such as Arabidopsis thaliana as well as many crop species.

-
C58C1 (Electrocompetent & Chemically Competent Cells)
Core C58C1 strains carrying streptomycin and rifampicin resistance, ideal for high-efficiency transformation and standard plant biotechnology. -
C58C1 (pSuperAgro® v4) – Electrocompetent & Chemically Competent Cells
Enhanced strains incorporating AcdS and GabT activity to suppress ethylene production and reduce GABA accumulation during co-cultivation. These improvements significantly boost T-DNA transfer, and increase both transient and stable transformation efficiencies in plants such as tomato and grasses.
