Description
Recombinant Human PTH (7-84) is a 78 amino acid C-terminal fragment of parathyroid hormone that lacks the first six amino acids required for the full receptor-activating activity of intact PTH. This structural difference gives PTH (7-84) biological properties that are distinct from PTH (1-84) and the active PTH (1-34) fragment.
PTH (7-84) is useful for research examining the activity of C-terminal PTH fragments, modulation of PTH1R signaling, calcium and bone metabolism, and the biological differences between intact and truncated forms of parathyroid hormone. Its extended C-terminal sequence also makes it valuable for studies focused specifically on non-N-terminal PTH activity.
