CCL14 (66 a.a.), Human

Description

GoldBio growth factors are manufactured for RESEARCH USE ONLY and cannot be sold for human consumption!

Recombinant Human Chemokine (C-C motif) Ligand 14 (CCL14, CCL14a)
Hemofiltrate CC Chemokine 1 (HCC1)
Small Inducible Cytokine Subfamily A Member 14 (SCYA14)
New CC Chemokine 2 (NCC2)

CCL14 is a chemokine containing four conserved cysteine residues, of which the first two are adjacent. It is expressed in plasma at high levels, and in spleen, liver, muscle, gut, and bone marrow tissue at lower levels. CCL14 causes a change in intracellular calcium levels and enzyme release in monocytes. It also enhances proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells that express CD34. CCL14 is a ligand for CCR1. This recombinant protein is N-terminally truncated CCL14 [9-74]. This natural variant causes a change in intracellular calcium levels in and is chemotactic for T-cells, monocytes, and eosinophils. It also inhibits HIV-1 isolates and is a ligand for CCR1, CCR3, and CCR5.

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized powder. Purified and tested for use in cell culture.

Source: Escherichia coli

MW: ~7.8 kDa (66 amino acids)

Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses

Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human monocytes is in a concentration of 5-20 ng/ml.

Storage/Handling: Store desiccated at -20°C.
