CXCL1, Human

Description

GoldBio growth factors are manufactured for RESEARCH USE ONLY and cannot be sold for human consumption!

Recombinant Human Chemokine (C-X-C motif) Ligand 1
Melanoma Growth Stimulating Activity, Alpha (MGSA, MGSA-a)
Fibroblast Secretory Protein (FSP)
Growth Related Oncogene 1 (GRO1, GROa)
Neutrophil-Activating Protein 3 (NAP3, NAP-3)
Small Inducible Cytokine Subfamily B Member 1 (SCYB1)

CXCL1 is an ELR type of CXC chemokine. It is secreted by human melanoma cells and expressed by neutrophils, monocytes, keratinocytes, macrophages, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts. CXCL1 participates in chemotaxis and cell activation of neutrophils. CXCR2 is the receptor that CXCL1 binds. CXCL1 inhibits embryonic oligodendrocyte precursor migration, suggesting a role in spinal cord development. It also plays a role in would healing, angiogenesis, and tumorigenesis. CXCL1 is believed to be the major inflammatory factor in recurrent herpetic stromal keratitis.

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized powder. Purified and tested for use in cell culture.

Source: Escherichia coli

MW: ~7.9 kDa (73 amino acids)

Purity: >97% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses

Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood neutrophils is in a concentration range of 10-50 ng/ml.

Storage/Handling:Store desiccated at -20°C.

HGNC: 4602
