CXCL11, Human

Description

GoldBio growth factors are manufactured for RESEARCH USE ONLY and cannot be sold for human consumption!

Recombinant Human Chemokine (C-X-C motif) Ligand 11 (CXCL11)
Interferon-Inducible T-cell Alpha Chemoattractant (ITAC)
Small Inducible Cytokine Subfamily B Member 9B (SCYB9B)
Small Inducible Cytokine Subfamily B Member 11 (SCYB11)
Interferon-Gamma-Inducible Protein 9, (IP9, INP9)

CXCL11 is a CXC chemokine lacking the ELR motif. It is expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, in pancreas and liver, as well as in several other tissues at lower levels. CXCL11 is strongly induced by interferon gamma and is closely related to CXCL9 and CXCL10, but has a higher affinity for CXCR3. CXCL11 also acts as a ligand for CXCR7. It is chemotactic for activated T-cells and plays a role in angiostasis, as well as CNS diseases that involve T-cell recruitment. CXCL11 also exhibits antimicrobial properties against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized powder. Purified and tested for use in cell culture.

Source: Escherichia coli

MW: ~8.3 kDa (73 amino acids)

Purity: >97% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses

Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human IL-2 activated human T-lymphocytes is in a concentration range of 0.1-10 ng/ml.

Storage/Handling: Store desiccated at -20°C.

HGNC: 10638
