GoldBio’s Gentamicin Sulfate EZ Pak™ is a complete antibiotic preparation kit designed to simplify and standardize the preparation of sterile gentamicin stock solutions.
The Gentamicin Sulfate EZ Pak™ is the fastest and easiest way to make a set amount of sterile gentamicin solution. Each EZ Pak™ includes high-quality pre-weighed gentamicin sulfate, a sterile filter, and a sterile container, allowing you to prepare a sterile antibiotic solution quickly, without weighing, calculating, or cleanup.
The 25 ml, 50 ml, and 100 ml require a vacuum manifold for easy vacuum filtering, while the 10 ml pack size comes with a syringe filter.
The EZ Pak™ format ensures reliable 50 mg/mL stock solutions every time, making it ideal for busy research labs, shared facilities, and when sterility, consistency, and speed are essential.
Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against gram-negative and gram-positive species. In addition, gentamicin exhibits antimicrobial properties against species resistant to tetracycline, colistin, kanamycin, and chloramphenicol.
Aminoglycoside antibiotics are composed of amino groups attached to glycosides. They bind the 30s ribosomal subunit, causing misreading of the mRNA sequence and inhibition of translocation. Consequently, protein synthesis is inhibited.
