IFN-lambda2 (IL28A), Murine

Description

GoldBio growth factors are manufactured for RESEARCH USE ONLY and cannot be sold for human consumption!

Recombinant Murine Interferon Lambda 2
IFNL2
Interleukin 28A (IL28A)
Interleukin-28-Alpha

Interferon lambda 2, also known as interleukin 28A, belongs to the newly classified type III interferon family. Expression of IFNL2 is seen in a variety of cell types in response to viral infection or treatment with double-stranded RNA. IFNL2 exerts antiviral activity by activating mx proteins, 2',5'-oligoadenylate synthetase, and interferon regulatory factor 9. It signals through a heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IL10RB and IFNLR1 which activates the JAK-STAT pathway, phosphorylating STAT1, STAT2, and STAT3.

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized powder. Purified and tested for use in cell culture.

Source: Escherichia coli

MW: ~19.7 kDa (174 amino acids)

Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses

Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by an antiviral assay using human HepG2 cells infected with encephalomyocarditis is less than 3 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >3.3×105 IU/mg.

Storage/Handling: Store desiccated at -20°C.

Mouse Genome Database ID: 3647279

NOT FOR HUMAN USE!
