PPBP (CXCL7), Human

Description

GoldBio growth factors are manufactured for RESEARCH USE ONLY and cannot be sold for human consumption!

Recombinant Human Pro-Platelet Basic Protein (PPBP)
Chemokine (C-X-C motif) Ligand 7 (CXCL7)
Neutrophil-Activating Polypeptide 2 (NAP2)
Small Inducible Cytokine Subfamily B Member 7 (SCYB7)
Beta-Thromboglobulin (THBGB1)

PPBP is an ELR type of CXC chemokine. This recombinant protein is a mature, proteolytically processed form of PPBP containing 70 amino acids that is also known as NAP2. It is expressed in human monocytes after treatment with bacterial endotoxins and released from the alpha-granules of platelets after their activation. NAP2 is chemotactic for fibroblasts and neutrophils. It is involved in a variety of cellular processes including mitogenesis, DNA synthesis, extracellular matrix synthesis, glycolysis, and plasminogen activator synthesis.

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized powder. Purified and tested for use in cell culture.

Source: Escherichia coli

MW: ~7.6 kDa (70 amino acids)

Purity: >97% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses

Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood neutrophils is in a concentration range of 1-10 ng/ml.

Storage/Handling: Store desiccated at -20°C.

HGNC: 9240

NOT FOR HUMAN USE!
