PTH (1-34), Human

Description

Recombinant Human PTH (1-34) contains the biologically active N-terminal 34 amino acids of human parathyroid hormone. This region is responsible for much of PTH receptor activation and can stimulate intracellular cAMP signaling through PTH1R. PTH signaling plays an important role in calcium regulation, bone metabolism, and the activity of bone-forming and bone-resorbing cells.

The defined 1-34 fragment is widely used in research examining PTH receptor signaling, osteoblast activity, bone formation and resorption, calcium homeostasis, and cellular responses to PTH stimulation. Produced in E. coli and purified to greater than 97%, this recombinant peptide is tested for biological activity in cell-based assays.
