GoldBio’s C58C1 Chemically Competent Agrobacterium cells allow you to obtain high transformation efficiency in applications such as gDNA or cDNA library construction. C58C1 has the chromosomal backbone of C58 but it has been cured of the Ti plasmid pTiC58. Our C58C1 strain harbors streptomycin and rifampicin resistance genes. C58C1 Competent cells are optimized for genetic transformation of plants such as Arabidopsis but can be used in many other plants.
pSuperAgro™ v4 was designed to include AcdS and GabT activity, driven by a single lac promotor, which both suppresses ethylene evolution and degrades gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) during co-cultivation. The combined suppression of ethylene and reduction of GABA significantly increases T-DNA transfer and increases transient and stable transformation frequencies in both tomato and grass plants.

Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) is the active component of propolis, a honeybee hive product. Caffeic acid phenethyl ester is a specific inhibitor of the nuclear transcription factor, NF-κB. CAPE has been shown to significantly suppress the Lipoxygenase pathway of arachidonic acid metabolism during inflammation. Caffeic acid phenethyl ester inhibits HIV-1 integrase, and also inhibits proliferation of transformed cells. It induces apoptosis in transformed fibroblasts, and interferes with EGF signal transduction affecting both protein kinase C and Ornithine Decarboxylase activity.

Camptothecin is produced by endosymbiotic fungi, from the division Ascomycota (Phycomycete), that are present in the tree Camptotheca acuminata which is native to southern China. Camptothecin (Mappia foetida), (GoldBio Catalog # C-565) has also been isolated from fungi on Mappia foetida (Nothapodytes foetida), a plant common to India.

CAPS is a zwitterionic buffering agent used in biochemistry and molecular biology. Carbenicillin is a member of the penicillin β-lactam antibiotics. However, unlike most β-lactams, carbenicillin disodium is limited to primarily gram-negative bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and common enteric species.
