product description
D-Glucose 6-phosphate barium salt, derived from adding a barium molecule to the compound D-(+)-Glucose, is a monosaccharide derivative and organic phosphate. This carbohydrate appears as a white powder and can be applied as a chiral reagent. Its tendency for separation has contributed to research in circulatory systems and treating liquids with solid sorbents. In hydrogel analysis, it showed consistent binding affinity to d-glucose, l-glucose, d-fructose and d-gluconamide as other similar polymers; it was not selective for either glucose enantiomer.

D-Glucose 6-phosphate, disodium salt
Catalog ID Size Pricing G-360-25 25 g $995.00 G-360-50 50 g $1,724.00 Show Product Details
product description
D-Glucose 6-phosphate is an important phosphorylated sugar found in the cell, and a majority of the glucose entering a cell is of this chemical conformation. It forms the start of two different metabolic pathways; glycolysis and the pentose phosphate pathway, or it may find itself converted into glycogen or starch for storage. It is the main substrate for glucose-6-phosphatase enzyme. It can be used as an energy source for Myobacterium tuberculosis and inhibits activity of sarcoendoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase in rat brains, lowering calcium accumulation in the endoplasmic reticulum. When reacted to form 2-deoxy-D-glucose-6-phosphate it can be used to inhibit bovine heart hexokinase.

product description
D-Glucose 6-phosphate, monosodium salt is common in cells as the vast majority of glucose entering cells becomes phosphorylated in this way. This compound lies at the start of glycolysis and the pentose 6-phosphate pathway. It can be stored as glycogen during conditions of high glucose levels and has been shown to be an energy source for Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Leucine is an alpha-amino acid used in the biosynthesis of proteins that is not synthesized by animals and must be ingested. Leucine is an activator of mTOR, stimulating muscle protein synthesis. Leucine is also used in hemoglobin formation.
D-Leucine has been used to protect mice from seizures and D-leucine specifically terminates seizures in mice after in the onset of seizure activity, while in breast cancers it can inhibit system L(LAT1) based growth. D-Leucine also triggers the disassembly of amyloid fibers linking biofilms.

product description
Luciferin is a common bioluminescent reporter used for in vivo imaging of the expression of luciferase. This substrate for the firefly luciferase enzyme utilizes ATP and Mg2+ as cofactors to emit a characteristic yellow-green emission in the presence of oxygen, which shifts to red light in vivo at 37°C. Through the utilization of ATP, the reaction can be further used to indicate the presence of energy or life in order to function as a life-death stain.
Luciferin is a common reagent used throughout the biotechnology field and specifically for in vivo imaging. Luciferase labeled tumor cells, stem cells or infectious diseases are often inoculated into research animals such as rats or mice for investigation. The injection of luciferin allows for the real-time, noninvasive monitoring of disease progression and/or drug efficacy in these model systems through Bioluminescence Imaging (BLI).
Luciferin is also commonly used for in vitro research, including luciferase and ATP assays, gene reporter assays, high throughput sequencing and various contamination assays.
Note: The Free Acid form of luciferin will not dissolve in water or PBS unless a dilute base such as NaOH, KOH, sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate is added to adjust the pH. The potassium or sodium salts of luciferin are more convenient for experiments, particularly for in vivo imaging, since they readily dissolve in water or buffer.
Tested and Certified for in vivo imaging (See "Luciferin FAQ" in additional information)
Firefly Luciferin is identical to Beetle Luciferin. (See "Additional Information" for structures.)
